My Curriculum Vitae

Thomas J. Ackermann

Since the early 1980’s I graduated from one project to the next bigger one, culminating in the invention of a new security technology with my third company, Melior. While Melior, Inc. CyberWarfare Defense was very successful in developing the only working defense against distributed Denial-of-Service dDoS attacks (and successfully protected a user base of 300 million people against such attacks), financially it was not (in the end, we had insufficient capital). Many lessons were learned in the process. But that was in 2005, and life goes on.

My strengths lie in the ability to quickly assess a business / organization, and its infrastructure, and develop scalable, long-lasting plans from the “Big Picture” down to details; and then execute the concept on time and on budget. The same holds true for assessing a business plan, and then building the business and its infrastructure within the available means.

I certainly like to work on projects “with a cause”, i.e. building something new, providing useful services to a larger audience where it makes a difference (beyond simply improving shareholder/material values).
